Sophie and Effie met Charlotte of the amazing Birthtale (www.birthtale.com and @birthtale) at antenatal classes. Birthtale are a London-based trio of midwives offering antenatal and postnatal services. We got in touch with Charlotte to see if she wanted to give the Mischiefsuit a whirl, and here is what she said:
"I was thrilled to be contacted by Effie and Sophie and to hear about their new business venture. Firstly because they met at a Bump and Baby Club class that I was leading 3 years ago and secondly because they have created something that is really needed..... a practical (yet stylish) range of popper-less babygrows with a focus on trying to make new parents life a little bit easier.
Anyone who has fumbled with poppers at 3am can relate... there alway seems to be one extra popper....but where does it go?
And we’ve all put on a babygrow the wrong way round because the poppers are the back..... not just me?
But these simple designs have one single zip making all the frequent nappy changes easy. The feet cuffs fold over so you’ve got built in socks that won’t fall off but also ensure easy access to newborn feet if heel prick test are necessary .
When your older child is learning to crawl or walk the cuffs can be folded up for better grip and less falls.
The clever design also means you will certainly get your wear out of these suits. I was sent the largest size (2 - 3 years old) to try but this is my 5 year old who (never one to miss out) insisted on wearing it for bed.
The 100% organic cotton fabric is the perfect thickness, soft and stretchy and super comfortable.
Congratulations Sophie and Effie for having the courage to try something new and for creating something that looks and feels fab but is also practical.
